New look

Makeovers don't come easy to me. My friends have been trying to convince me to get a certain haircut since 1996. It took me three years to muster up the courage to get my second ear-piercing done.

No wonder then, that this blog with the banner (see below) had looked the same for over 2 years now.

But when you've just shifted countries and set up home all over again, it hits you that change can be good too. And that things can always look better. So here's my new virtual home - how do you like it?

And below is my new home - (and my mother) - caught in a lamp-lit moment.

So now you know what it looks like where I live...at home and in cyberspace. Should I get the haircut too?

Nice new look! Easy on the eyes. Lovely lamp-lit home.

For all those rooting for a haircut - thanks for the enthusiasm. Wish I could translate that into courage and action.

G - come back to Bombay again and maybe I'll have the nerve when I see your sexy haircut again.

I've cut my hair short for the first time since 2001 - GO FOR IT!

Lovely new bloggy look, too!

umm glad to see that Calvin and Hobbes remain where they were!

Oh but I love both! Where does Terry live? When are we going to Britania?

Anon: Thanks...but I don't do much on Twitter. It would be very dull, I promise.

Eve's Lungs: Of course - those two are part of the stable core of my life.

OJ: Thanks. Terry lives on the bookshelf in our bedroom, and he gets taken to wherever we decide to light incense! He's pretty mobile, genes notwithstanding :) Britannia ...hmmm, am off to Delhi end of the month, so probably some time after mid-March. We really should make a plan and do it!

Pretty home, pretty new look on the blog.
Maybe it is time for the new haircut!

New blog look is v nice. Who did the pencil sketches? Abs luff the zonked-looking cloud with halo all wonky.

But will also miss the Calvin pic. "Yakka foob mog" describes my mood accurately, all too often...

All this fuss about a haircut, really. It's just hair. And it grows back. Girls!! Wattoom gazork! Grumble grumble.

Dipali & Shairee: Thanks.

Rrishi: Wish I could take the credit, but it's a template (though it was hard work choosing it). Calvin will be back someday soon though - and you can have the banner if you like. I can send it to you :)

And I do not expect you to get the whole haircut-hungama.

Beautiful template.

Rrishi, I agree totally on the fuss part. But "it grows back"?! Lemme send you one of my recent pics ;)

Thinking Cramps said...

You have good taste, Ashok. And send us all one of your recent pics. Did you get a fancy haircut too - for it to not grow back?

Anyway, haircut plans are shelved.

Oh, oh! This situation calls for my enviable diplomatic skills. Lemme put it this way...to cut a long hair short, I think I don't need to go to a barber again.
