Update: (in response to OJ) As subsequent coverage and speculation suggests - the government is just a puppet and faced a lot of flak from the Opposition, the Army and even (annoyingly and dishearteningly) from the media - for agreeing initially without consulting with everyone. Some have apparently said that for Pak to send their Chief would be an admission of guilt. You should see Karan Thapar grill Zardari about this on IBN.

Hah. They did, did they? I'm not the least bit surprised. With all the links already discovered, they have some serious explaining to do, and their denials count for squat. I'm not a war-monger and have always advocated talks, but enough is enough. Somebody haul them up, for heavens sake. Even if it isn't directly their doing, they're harboring camps of terror and it's about time the world put an end to it if they situation is out of their hands.

Do we still think Pakistan is innocent after a Kargil war? Each citizen of the country may not be a terrorist or extremist, but the country, headed by its government, is definitely India's enemy.
But India being India and the politicians being the blood sucking b(*^%$#s that they are never care. Each day is living hell in Kashmir for the civilians, as well as the defence personnel up there, but these fools are working at friendship and peace, when its known well that just a couple of days is enough for our defence forces to get rid of them. If the government had any concern whatsoever for the people, it is time it took up the arms and fought.
When's the Thapar interview? It's a must-see!
Zardari's insisting that he 'never' said he's send the chief of the ISI, apparently what had been decided was that one of the ISI directors would go over and then, should it prove necessary, they would consider asking the ISI chief to show up. Heaven knows what's true. Meanwhile, some FBI guys have shown up, and in typical American style, are busy throwing their weight around.
Completely agree. I commented the same in another post saying that innocents are dying anyway so why not go all out and cleanse this mess called Pakistan. If, like they claim,they are victims of terrorism themselves, why not collaborate. Share intelligence, get international minds to work together and allow them access inside the country.
I fear that Condi Rice's visit to India this week is going to serve no purpose. She will convince the 2countries to talk and then things will cool down until the next attack. I pray that the current administration has the spirit and guts like the father of Major Unnikrishnan and snub the powers that be and remind them of their ineptitude when it comes to addressing woes of terrorism in India.
